Please call or e-mail me with any questions not listed here or to see if I would be a good fit to work with you or your family!
How do I get started?
Making the decision to seek support takes incredible bravery! Oftentimes reaching out to a professional can be intimidating. When you feel ready to make this step, call or e-mail me to set up a 15 minute phone consultation where I can answer any questions you might have, get a sense of your goals, and determine if we are a good fit for each other. If we decide to move forward there will be a few forms for you to fill out and we will schedule an initial intake session!
How do I know if therapy is for me?
I strongly believe that anyone and everyone can benefit from having a safe and consistent space to discuss and debrief their life without the fear of being judged. Individuals and families seek out support for a variety of reasons ranging from improving relationships to processing a traumatic event. The great thing about therapy is that it is incredibly individualized so clients have the ability to utilize the space how they find helpful.
How often will we meet?
The frequency and duration of treatment can vary depending on the situation. I typically recommend weekly sessions to start, with the possibility of bi-weekly sessions. Sessions are most often 50-minutes long. The length of treatment can range anywhere from a few months for more short term and goal-oriented therapy to possibly years for deeper, more complex work and ongoing personal growth.
How much does therapy cost?
Rates are $150 per session and can be paid electronically or via credit card at the time of service. I do not currently accept insurance but I can provide you with a superbill that you can turn in to your insurance for reimbursement if you have benefits for out of network providers.
Does what we talk about stay private?
Therapy is a confidential process. This means your personal information and everything we discuss in therapy remains between us. A written request can be made for me to communicate with other people if needed. That being said, there are times when I am legally obligated to release your information and this will be discussed at the intake session.
